We looked at it together

Dearest hubby and I went to the open house of the Italianate Victorian today. I think he’s about 80% on board. I am ready to go. It’s hard giving up the 1818 Federal but the owner won’t budge and it’s a potential money pit. So I’m trying to turn the page.

This Victorian could do it. Despite some less than desirable decor in the bathrooms, the rooms of this house have a really lovely proportion. It’s another house that feels light and airy.

Fingers crossed yet again. We are attempting to return with my brother-in-law who builds and flips houses to ask questions about setting up a laundry room and the like. Even though the house is “done” it still needs things to make it more comfortable and functions better. For example, there only one oven! That’s never going to work for me.

Regretfully, there is not a butler’s pantry. But off the wine cellar, we could create a linen and china room. So I’m going to pick my brother-in-law’s brain on these type things.

Looks inviting, right?
